Okay students, I just spent the last two hours watching my favorite show, a show known as History's Mysteries. Today's shows featured mythical creatures, such as dragons, Nessy, Big Foot, and, my favorite, a little blood sucking creature called the Chupacabra. It put me in the mood to come up with one of my many plots, this one featuring a scientist who is hired to a very rich and dying man to track down the creatures of legend. I personally think this would be great fun, what do you guys think? Would you join? I'd love tp get some positive feedback on this, as I'm going to be devoting quite a bit of my time to research on the creatures and creation of the characters. Please post your opinions here.^^

Okay, I've come up with a name for the role play. If I put it up, it will be called 'Kryptos'. Why? Because, many of the creatures that will be included in this role play are researched by scientists called 'cryptozoologists', who study creatures that have has sightings and the like but are not considered to truly be REAL. The name 'cryptozoology' comes from the Greek word 'kryptos,' hence the name.

A list of the creatures that would possibly be included- to be added on to later:
El Chupacabra Unicorn Dragon Merpeople Ebu Gogo Bigfoot Nessie Faeries Satyrs Kappa Wampus Cat Vampire Werewolf Nymph Centaur Bijuus- The Nine Japanese Demons
If you know of any others to add to the list, post here. Meanwhile, I'll be searching Wikpedia.

I'd join if I could be the chupacabras (Yes, it has an 's' at the end of it, according to Spanish compound-words grammar rules. It means "goat sucker")

I actually looked it up in Wikpedia, I think it can be spelled either way, Idiot. But that doesn't bug me, spell it how you like. Anywho, the creatures would probably be NPCs, and player characters would probably be mostly scientists. I haven't decided this for sure, though.

Hmm sounds interesting... For the list- Manaeds, Dryads, Neirads, Sprites... I'm probably spelling a couple of those wrong...

Actually playing the creatures I think changes the whole idea of the RP.
If you want a world that has all of these creatures possible in it for RP then we could create one that was just for that. Or I could once again resurrect the idea of Xanth, which is home to every magical creature ever thought up and quite a few not known of except in Xanth.

I think it might be okay for a few of the more humanoid creatures, such as nymphs, but you'd have to wait a while to bring them in.
Yes, centaurs would be included. That's gonna' be fun, sending them to Greece to search for the centaurs.
