It's perfectly alright. One of my charries is descended from one of the brothers of the main character in the Protector of the Small series.

Hmm I PM'd you Erin but I'll go ahead and ask here and then edit it into me description...
What is the Gift called when it's just for magic? Or how should I delineate that?

I've completed the third book now And now that I know a bit more about how the magic of Corua works I'd like to adjust Aria Gift a bit if I may Erin, to focus on weather magic. Is that ok?

Well I finally got to finish the Lioness Quartet last night. RL kept getting in the way and I wasn't able to get back to it till then. Hopefully I'll be able to get the Immortals read faster. It only takes me a couple hours to read the silly things, I just have to have a few hours free LOL

Is it safe to say that since Aria is from Olau, that she would be related to any nobles from Pirates Swoop and Trebond? Since Alanna was the heir to two of them and Lady of the other I'd have to assume her children would be the ones that ended up with the various locales and those children would be the ones everyone today would be descended from right? I don't want to actually put a whole family tree into writing, which is why I've not named Aria's parents and siblings, but for future reference if someone is from one of them they would be at least a distant cousin right? Or is there something in the rest of the books that changes that? Don't tell me what if so, just tell me which fief would not be related Thanks

Definately related to Pirate's Swoop and extremely distant to Trebond.

Ah, just finished reading "Alanna: the First Adventure" for the first time... Next time I go to the store, it will be for the lioness quartet or whatever... Trickster, Trickster's Choice... now i KNOW I read that... I remember you showing me that at college... Doesn't it have a girl with a big black hooded cloak on? For the cover? Sadly... I can't remember the story though... I just remember that I was quite dismayed at discovering the college had a fantasy/fun reading library after all... the last semester of college... >_< and was trying to inhale EVERY book possible before I left... urk. Twas fun while it lasted... Ah well, shall read "OwlFlight" for the Valdemar RP while I twitch and wait impatiently to get the other tortall books.... Sorry, don't think I know enough about Tortall yet to make a char tho.

It's the Immortal quartet you're looking for. The Lioness quartet is the one you just got (Alanna:The First Adventrure is the first book in that one). Yep, that's what the cover looks like.
No problem. Post a char when you think you're ready.

I've finished the first 2 books of the Immortals. On to the 3rd now. Oh and I'd like to make a second charrie, one for the Queen's Riders if that's allowed?
