TEACHER'S NOTE:
SD--your character, I'm sorry to say, makes me go "AAAAAAAAAAAH! GARY STU!" Not to be rude or anything... But you need to be careful. Super beautiful, super angsty, super strong characters are... well... freaky. To me, at least. Because they tend to take over and not ever do anything realistic...

Ahh... Ok So in other words only Mind powers are natural to them and they have to work at having those? Work at perfecting them sure but Mind powers should be available from Turning. I'm sorry but that just does not jive with Any vampire story I've ever read. And this coming from an adult that has read every vampire book she could lay her hands on, except Anne's Rice's works.
And you still didn't give what acceptable other powers would be. Just Telepathy, and Telekinesis is a bit restricted... (Telekinesis is the ability to move things with your mind which includes floating/flying and teleportation. And many people believe there are humans with these powers in real life.)

This an rp. And what I meant by learning those powers was findingthe power to use them and finding out that you have them. And also beliefes of humans in real life has nothing to do with this. Since your hier ranked then me and have probably beenrping longer then me so you may have five powers.

Oh I have no probelm with limiting the powers, but I'm trying to esablish what a limit is Chibi. For example do you consider being able to shapeshift into more than one other form more than one power? It's all shapeshifting which is only one power in my opinion, it's just an expanded power to be able to do more than one form (and more than one form would require hundreds of years to master). But if you prefer each form count as a seperate power that is fine, I just need to know that. Same thing for Complusion, do you consider voice compulsion and sight complusion (the eyes) two seperate powers or two parts of one power? Do you see what I'm getting as here? If you count Shapeshifting (multiple forms) and Compulsion (both types) as only 2 powers then my original character only had 6 powers rather than if they each count seperately making 12 powers. Hence why I need clarification so I can adjust her down to the appropriate numbers. I need to cut back on them period, that I'm fine with doing, I just need to know which way it counts up so I know what to cut

I'm sorry that I have been so troouble some with this yes I consider those powers to be considered just 2 powers and also upon research I have found out that turning into a flying animal of any sort not just a bat or sprouting wing are common powers for a Vampire. And I have also found that you were right about the super human strength being a normal power also so you can use that with out it counting wich bring your powers down to five. And also ive found out that levitation without transforming into an animal. So I hope you can work with that.

Whoa, whoa...you guys are seriously confusing me...and what did you mean, Melinda, about my character??
Umm...Chibi? You...mentioned that telepathy and flying are a given for vampires...But Darrien doesn't know how to do that yet...He doesn't know how to fly, read minds, or use telepathy...Ummm...?

So for everyones clarification I think this is what Chibi is getting at -
The powers a person gains immediately upon becoming a Vampire are - Telepathy Teleportation Levitation 1 Flying Form Shapeshift Super-Human strength ALL of which the character has to learn to actively control. (i.e. they have them at Turning but can Not use/control them yet, and may not realize they have them)
Shapeshifting to any other form counts as a Power, though learning multiple shapes over the years still is only one Power. Compulsion counts as a Power but can be both voice and sight.
All other powers should be cleared through the RP Master (Chibi) before you begin RP'ing.
Does that sound right Chibi?

SD--This is the stuff that, in combination, makes me go "AAAAH! GARY STU!!!" 1. "Irrisistably handsome" 2. "a mystertious tragedy in his past, that he never talks about" 3. "he doesn't feel he needs to talk to others" (Sooo... he hates to interact with other people... How are you planning on playing him in the group?) 4. "can seduce any female" 5. "he never leaves any other trace of himself" 6. "he has only recently become a vampire, maybe five or sixe months ago, and he is still in training under his master, Serrath." (so he has excellent skills, already has a nickname... and has only been a vampire for a few months? )

Ok Here's my charrie again altered to fit with the rules ;D And again I'll wait for approval before beginning play.
Name: Marissa Age: Appears early 20's, true age unknown Nationality: European Rank/Title: Duchess of Avalon
Powers- other than natural ones: Known to other vampires- Shapeshifting (wolf and owl), Compulsion with eyes or voice. Unknown to others- Shapeshifting (panther and bear), Glamour
Appearance: Pale white skin, waist length black hair with blood ruby highlights, deep blue eyes that appear black in all but the brightest light, 5'10", 140lbs, very willowy but with just enough curve to make most men have a hard time ignoring her.
Personality: Aloof and cool most of the time Marissa appears cold hearted to the world at large, in fact she has a bit of a soft spot for animals, especially wolves and owls, and has been served faithfully by the same human family for 10 generations, she has killed to protect herself and them, but she does not kill to feed.
Background: Even among Vampire kind Marissa is a mystery. She is not the oldest vampire, or so she believes for she is fairly certain her creator still lives, but she is so old that only she, and her creator, knows her true age. She lived through the rise of the Greeks as a power in the world and their subsequent fall and the fall of so many others, and that is the closest to an age anyone has been able to peg to her, over 3000 years old... She is sometimes called the Shade or Shadow among the Vampires because so very little is known about her even among her own kind.

Chyby-kun--
Do vampyres yn your RP have a reflectyon?
(You may want to clear up what byts of lore you're usyng. Lyke... Can a sylver bullet, blessed by a pryest, kill them? How about a stake through the heart? (Or a steak...) How do they feel about garlyc and crosses?)

Well garlic has no affect on them they can see there reflection (I know people say they cant but I like to ad some zing to Role Play's) They can be killed by a silver bullet. Even with that said they cant be killed by a stake threw the heart.

Hmm the only superstitions I can think of not touched on is crosses and holy ground. Any effects?

Crosses no. And I prefere to call it grounds of magical power. (I said for lack of a better word.)And yes ut has affect.

Maybe call it just call it Sanctified grounds, since magic could be evil or neutral and so should not affect Vampires necessarily? Plus then it could apply to any cemetery and place of Worship, that is fortified against the undead... not just Christian ones.
I'm assuming since crosses are not affective it's the invocation against evil or undead that would affect them rather than any particular symbol of a religion.
