I forgot to check back here, Mel, but I do wonder if anyone can really understand orbitals. We've passed it now, but they still confuse me!!!!

Orbitals! I learned those..... Theres this cool thing where you can cut your periodic table up, and then it all makes sense.....

I remember a little about the orbitals. The current periodic table is formed based on the orbitals.
It goes s,p,d,f, doesn't it? I'm remembering the order from a while ago...
The far left column only has one s electron in the outer orbital, and the second column has two s electrons. They're very reactive.
The noble gases have a full p outer orbital. They don't generally react at all.
Am I getting it right?
