((OOC there is not a bronze color in this silly thing so L'ron gets maroon.))
(3/6/late evening)
T'der gave all of the dragonets time to finish their second meals of the day and then called everyone to attention.
"Listen up boys and girls. I know you didn't get more than a day or two together in Candidate classes with this being such an odd situation. But now you all are a class, you will train together until you graduate and you will learn to rely on each other. We don't expcet everyone to get along all the time, but we do expect you to always control your own emotions as they have a very direct correlation to your dragons feelings." He began the usual speech.
"Now you've all been moved to the Baby Barracks, your things are there. The couches are aligned by size with the smallest in the back. Greens go in first and golds last in other words." T'der continued. "Now I imagine everyone is getting tired again as your dragonets full bellies and your own very busy day catch up with you all. Let's have the greens and thier riders first please, we'll get you settled and then the blues and so on. My second Bronzerider L'ron will direct you from out here. I'll be inside getting everyone to the right dragon couches."
"B'eld, Samana, Adara, Banira and Cerika. You and yours first." T'der called once he'd reach the wide opening to the baby barracks from the bowl area.
B'eld and Shirith were quickly in and directed to the right couch for them, with Samana quick behind them with Canrith. Cerika took an extra minute or two to convince Beleth to move but the sleepy green was soon happily ensconsed in her new couch.
L'ron stood with his arms folded until T'der mentioned him and he raised a hand and nodded his head "Alright all of you, over here no pushing." He gestured for them all to follow and he began towards the barracks. "Any of you nervous? If so, don't be it's not that hard to stay alive..." He gave a little chuckle and gestured towards the barracks. "You know what to do greens first then blues, browns etc" L'ron then stood and watched them go inside one by one followed by their dragons.
L'ron chuckled again and said to Jarth {Another load of squalling weyrlings} Jarth replied in an amused tone {Aye, earplugs ready?} Both of the pair laughed and L'ron stood silently waiting for his next instruction from T'der.
Adara followed L'ron till they reached the barracks and when the green riders began to file in she followed. She was directed to her couch by Weyrlingmaster T'der and she stood by the couch looking at it for a moment. {Is this home mine?} asked Lamorth in a chirpy tone. {Yes Lamorth it is home}.
Adara smiled and looked around for her stuff. {Ah, the humble belongings} Adara smiled and knelt to unpack. {I'd do that later make sure your not wanted further by the master man} Adara laughed quietly at Lamorth's reference to T'der and straightened again looking toward where the weyrlingmaster stood directing other weyrlings. Yawning she turned to Lamorth and said {He's the weyrlingmaster Lamorth his name is T'der} Lamorth responded with a grunt and kept her gaze upon the weyrlingmaster.
F'con got up and gestured to Taronth to follow and they started to follow L'ron, the greens and there riders. As they headed up there he watched as Adara and Lamorth were shown there spaces and knew that soon they would have theres, {our turn soon Taronth} he said excitedly... {i know mine, and its a good thing too cause I'm sleepy mine} F'con laughed and they moved closer in the line.
Romola watched the youngsters move nervously into the barracks with there dragonets. She smiled remembering when she had done the exact same thing not to long ago. Was she really as nervous as some had looked. Her eyes focused on the male leading them inside, his name was L'ron and he was quite known in these parts. {Look at all those younguns mine, how beautiful are they} Romola smiled {Very Ismath, very. And they all have good riders I am sure}
Xaria hurriedly clean herself and Dracoth up, watching the greens head through to the barracks. She was not as nervous as she thought she was, more excited in fact. {Dracoth is happy mine} exclaimed Dracoth {Me too!} Xaria watched Adara move through the doors to inside where she soon would be. What would it be like she wondered to her self. Suddenly she spotted F'con, hurrying up beside him she whispered in his ear "Can i line up with you?" {Its almost time mine!} {I know, isn't this fun}
T'der looked about at the green weyrlings. "Alright you five, settle in, lights out is not far off." He said then turned back to the entrance. "F'con, Koria, Teren and Xaria. You four next." He hollered.
F'con smiled and looked around to see Xaria "Sure, no problem..." he said keeping up his smile without trying to. Then he heard T'der and followed his instructions as they filed in and got appointed there beds and where they were to be for at least the year. F'con sat on his bed and instantly fell back and let out a deep breath of being content {well its better then the stone floor at the food part laughed F'con, {yer, and quieter too mine}replied Taronth settling into his stone couch.
L'ron sighed quietly and looked around the vicinity. He was bored he wanted to be soaring up high, doing something important. Instead he was chaperoning weyrlings. {Don't worry mine. We will find something to entertain ourselves} L'ron responded with agreement and looked around again. He spotted a girl with her green dragon. He knew her from somewhere, his hatching most likely she was one of the girls at his hatching. {I'm surprised i recognize her i think i was too busy trying not to bleed to death} Jarth chuckled {I'm sorry mine i didn't hatch in time to stop that} L'ron shook his head {It's not your fault Jarth what's done is done}.
Adara heard T'der tell the weyrlings to begin settling in and started unpacking her stuff {I don't have much so we can settle down soon} Adara said to Lamorth {It's OK take your time} Lamorth yawned and flopped onto her stone couch {Comfy} She mumbled {Night Taronth, night Dracoth} She added before closing her eyes and falling asleep.
Adara smiled and returned her attention to her bag. The first item she withdrew was a carved statue of a dragon, she sat staring at it her eyes stinging with threating tears, It had been a gift from her father and any memory of him hurt. She shook her head and placed the figurine beside her bed. The rest of her stuff was mere essentials. With the last item placed in its appropriate place Adara flopped onto her bed and sighed. She would not try to sleep until everyone else was settled in there'd be to much noise.
Xaria busied herself after F'con. Finding her bed was fine, everything was fine. She smiled at Dracoth while she moved her belongings into the places she thought they suited best. When she had finished she sat down {Comfy mine?} Xaria nodded {Oh yes I'm going to like it here}. She looked around the room smiling at Adara and F'con. Dracoth curled up next to her {I'm all tried again mine} {Sleep Dracoth, its OK with me} She stroked his head as head drifted off to dream land.
Romola saw L'ron looking at her, why did she always get caught! She flashed him a quick smile before turning her face in another direction. {You should talk to him mine, you were at his hatching.} Romola shook her head smiling {I might after he is finished...Yes I remember the hatching, and what had happened...But I doubt he would want to talk, a man of importance never has time for the likes of 'chit chat' as my mother always said.} {Well you could always try, if you don't Ill bug you for it} Romola smirked {Trust you....ok I will try but I tell you} She caught another look at L'ron before returning her gaze to the other youngsters waiting to go in.

F'con thought it best to start unpacking what little supplies and clothes he had brought with him, first he unpacked his riding gear and places it in his top drawer next to his bed and then everything else in random places {I'm gonna drop of okay mine?}, {sure thing Taronth, I'll be gone in a few anyway} he chuckled slightly and once he was finished unpacking he did just that. But because everyone else seemed to be unpacking and were all talking it was hard so he decided to go talk to a friend... he went over to chat to Xaria, "hey" he said smiling and still walking toward her.
Xaria was still stroking Dracoth when F'con joined her. She smiled brightly at him "Hi, this place is great isn't it!. Dracoth sure likes it." She patted a spot of her bed indicating him to sit down. Looking around she caught sight of Adara, waving a hand you get her attention she called "Come sit and talk to us all".
Adara looked up from staring at her hand carved statue and looked over to where Xaria and F'con where sitting. She smiled and stood walking over to where they sat. She stretched before sitting and said "Nice place eh?" She looked back to where Lamorth was sleeping and smiled affectionately.
L'ron suppressed a yawn as the next wave of weyrlings settled in {How dull}Said Jarth in a dull drown. L'ron agreed and looked around again, The blond woman was still there. {Should i talk to her Jarth?} He asked. The reply was slightly more interested {YES! You are always staring at her or talking about her.} L'ron sighed and began debating what to say to her as soon as his post at the barracks door was finished.
F'con smiled and waited until Xaria and Adara had settled to say anything, "yer... it is nice" he said examining the barracks a bit more. "So when were you two notified about being in for dragon riders this time?" he asked interested. "my parents live in a Northern wyre so when i was told i was kinda... how do you say, 'over the moon'" said F'con chuckling slightly.
Teren trudged along behind the others, her busy day of being impressed, feeding her dragon, the feast and lovely music (and its heady wine), and then a second dragon feeding were all catching up and making her eyes heavy and her feet leaden. She watched the others and hid a yawn. She had an idea that she'd be up several times a night taking care of Zirbeth... and she was ready to get some rest while she could. She could feel Zirbeth's full contentment like a satisfied hum in the back of her mind. Her yawn split into a smile as she wondered what kind of dreams she'd have after all this excitement. Perhaps there'd be a host of dragons, or she'd be flying through the air above Pern, fighting scores of threads....
Her reverie was interrupted as she watched the green riders file in. She was next, she knew, with her blue dragon Zirbeth. She hoped that she would live up to her dream of being a dragonrider. She hoped she could live up to Zirbeth!
{I think you're fine,} came the dragon's immovable acceptance. {I like you fine, too. We'll fly someday... but now I'm tired,} Zirbeth added, sleepily. Her soothing love and acceptance washed through Teren's mind like a wave of ocean color- blue and wonderful, just like Zirbeth. She smiled like a dreamwalker, and waited to find her own berth for herself and her wonderful, breathtakingly wonderful dragon.
Adara smiled "I live here at Starfall so I've been hoping for this since I was old enough to understand what was going on." Adara turned and waved to Teren who was just coming in she then yawned and stretched "Ah, sorry guys I've got to crash." With that she stood and plodded back to her bed and flopped onto it closing her eyes preparing to have a wonderful dream.
F'con smiled, "Alright then," He said. "Well I think I'm gonna follow her example and drop too." He said with a small laugh turning back to Xaria, "See ya." He said and then got up off the bed and walked toward his bed, lifted up his sheets and fell onto the mattress and asleep he was in minutes.
(3/6/minutes before lights out)
"P'das, A'tan, T'llen, and J'dar you four next." T'der was farther towards the front of the barracks now, not really paying attention to the green and blue weyrlings chattings, as long as they were all in bed and silent but lights out they could chat to their hearts content.
When the Brownriders were settled it was the bronzes turn. "D'ein, X'el you're up." He called. "And last but not least Marissa. Maleth may have her choice of the two gold beds." He gestured the newest goldrider to the two largest stone couches before turning back to face the entire group.
"Alright everyone, if for any reason the couch your dragonet currently occupies is not adequate, size usually being the only possible problem. Let me know in the morning and we'll switch them up or down, you're a relatively small class and the only babies currently so you do have some options. This also goes for when your dragonets start to outgrow their couches, if it's before we change barracks let me or L'ron know and we'll see about switching them up to a larger one." He looked over the whole bunch one last time, several appeared to be asleep.
"For those already asleep please someone let them know in the morning, or send them to one of us if they have questions." T'der added. "You've got five minutes to settle then lights out. Your dragonets should sleep through most of the night but it will be a very early morning for you all." He added and turning left the barracks at a quick walk.
"That's all for tonight L'ron." He called to the other rider in passing also offering a nod to the greenrider standing nearby before moving on to his office just a few yards away.
Teren and Zirbeth made themselves comfortable as they could, which didn't take long. Teren had brought very few belongings, just a few outfits, a home-spun blanket in her mother's favorite bright colors, a well-worn book of poetry, an extra pair of boots, and an oil-blanket for rain. All but the book went into storage, covered by the oil-blanket, but the book went by her head.
She looked around as she absently stroked Zirbeth's eye ridges. Even though the dragonet's eyes were closed, she had a hunch that they were swirling with contented and happy colors- perhaps a light blue. Everyone else seemed to be settling down, so she reached and slowly covered the small glow basket by her bed. Everyone had a small basket by thier beds in addition to the larger ones that provided the primary lighting. She closed hers completely; she was ready to sleep. Her mind was already a blur of the day's events and dragon thoughts. So it was with a smile that she lay on her back, one hand stretched to her dragon's side, and relaxed.

(4/15/afternoon)
It was time for the weyrlings first class on geography. They dragonets were now 5 sevendays old and it was time for a bit of seperation. Until now except at human meals and baths, the weyrlings and thier dragonets had been encouraged to spend every minute together to strengthen thier bonds. Today would be the first class not held in the weyr bowl, it would be held in the classroom instead, for that's where the maps were, and that was not somewhere the dragonets could go.
T'der stood in the classroom awaiting the weyrlings arrival, this would also be the day they would chose a name for thier class, so he rather expected some excitement as well.

Adara trudged into the classroom. She wasn't as excited as she should have been seeing as she was so tired. She nodded her greeting to T'der bowing slightly and plonked herself behind a desk sighing. Man she was stuffed hadnt slept well the night before... not for any particular reason or lack of trying.

F'con walked into the class and saw Adara so he walked over and sat in the seat next to hers. Then he took out a piece of parchment incase he needed to take some notes. "Hows everything going?" he asked Adara, keen to know how she was dealing with everything that was happening all at once.

((OOC was trying to wait for Senna and Fair but we'll move along))
Once the entire new class of weyrlings had convened in the classroom T'der called them to order. "Good Morning children. Today you will chose a name for your Weyrling Class, you've had time now to get to know each other and your dragonets. Previous classes have tended toward names like Windy and Brightlights. Keep in mind that the name you all agree on, or the majority at least, will be what you are known as until you graduate. So any suggestions?"

((OOC going to pose a couple NPC's you all can do the same you know Just make sure you know who they are or how many there are of a given type, (i.e. there are only two bronzes in this clutch) they're all in the profiles section.)) T'der nodded. "Freefall is not bad. Anyone else?" He looked to the rest of the class who were amazingly quiet. One green weyrling raised a hand and offered up her suggestion. "How about the Glows?" She said shyly and went silent once more. "Or Stormwings!" One of the bronze weyrlings spoke up his face growing excited. "Or Firefall!" Another boy spoke up, a brown weyrling.

"highwinds is cool" replied F'con happily, he didn't care the slightest 'bout his... but he did rather like that name of Adara's.
{Where are you mine?} came the familiar voice of Taronth. {I'm having a lesson but i'll be back as soon as i can Taronth} he replied.
