((*shrugs* I guess I'll start this one))
Jak strolled down the streets of Corus. He appeared to be your basic commoner. His clothes were old and thread bare, and his dark hair was messy and unkept. But looks could be decieveing. The tall youth had an air of importance about him, but he hid it well. From his eyes, mainly, one could tell he was not all he appeared to be. Jak Cardinal whistled as he walked, taking long strides. Every now and then he would nod, or wink at another commoner as he passed them. One man discreetly passed him an object covered in a leather of some sort, and he pocketed it withjout anyone noticeing. A congregation of commonborns had been forming around the street heading for the palace for a good hour or so now. Jak descided to take a look. The time for pages and squires to report back to the palace had come. This was a good thing for Jak. There'd be plenty of rich nobles around to pick pocket. The king of the Rogue stood in the back, peering over the group. Maybe he'd catch a glance at some new pages.

((lol. whooa Zi, wait for me to catch up huh.))
[glow=red,2,300](Loralin and parents)[/glow]
This was Loralin's first trip to Corus with her parents and she was very excited. Riding through the streets between her parents she kept trying to stand up in the stirrups and look at everything at once. As a consequence her father was having to constantly pull her back down into her saddle.
Finally he'd had enough of it and leaning over said sternly, "If you don't stop this nonsense this instant you won't be able to sit a horse for a week. Do you hear me young lady!?"
Sitting back down and looking rather sheepish, "Yes sir."
Nodding, "Good."
Prevented from standing up she instead started to crane her neck everywhich way and her parents exchanged amused glances over her head and sighed.
Smiling affectionately down on his youngest daughter, "Lora remember to mind you manners when we get to the Palace alright. If you're to train as a page you must make a good first impression on the Training Master."
Pausing in her glancing around Loralin looked up at her father and nodded seriously, "I will father. I'll make you proud of me."
Ruffling her hair slightly and smiling, "We're already proud of you Lora and I'm sure you'll make an excellant Knight years from now."
Loralin straightened up proudly at her father's words and ceased, at least for the moment, her constant squirming to see everything.

[glow=red,2,300](Kalarina and man-at-arms)[/glow]
Kalarina rode quietly through the city glancing about her casually. She was smiling slightly and gave the appearance of being completely at ease. Inside however she was bubbling with excitement and some anxiety. This was to be her second year of page training and she was both looking forward to it and dreading it. She glanced over briefly at her escort but he was busy pretending he was paying attention so she decided to scan the streets and see if she could spot anyone interesting. It didn't take her long to notice the rather hyper young lady ahead of her who seemed to not be able to sit still in her saddle. Kalarina chuckled to herself and wondered if the other girl was hear for page training as she looked about the right age.

[glow=red,2,300](Aren Fletcher)[/glow]
It had been a very long trip for Aren as he didn't have a horse to ride and so had been forced to walk all the way from Anaks Eyrie to Corus. But he'd finally arrived and was currently making his way slowly through the crown toward the Palace. He was also keeping a close eye out for pickpockets and other such potential strouble makers. Aren really wanted to get to the Palace quickly and get settled in. Presently he was feeling a little strange and kept having...well, visions was all he knew to call them. In them he'd see the city as if from the vantage point of a bird in flight or perched somewhere nearby, he could even see himself at times. This, and similar things, had been happening since he left home and it was really starting to worry him. Aren was hoping someone at the Palace would know what was going on and how to fix it.

(Geofry)
The young Duke grinned as he rode his stout mare, Rasberry, through the city. This would be his final year in page training, and it promised to be a good one. This year, he decided, he would actually sponcer a first year. He searched the crowds for a familiar face, seeing Jak almost instantly. He winked at the thief, his senior by a good four years, and got scolded for it by his manservant who went off on a lecture about not talking to commoners. Geofry of Naxen completely ignored this, and scanned ahead of him. A jumpy child caught his attention before anything else. "Mithros," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck, "she has energy."
(Jak) Jak Cardianl grinned at his friend, but made no move to show he'd aknowledged him. What would his boys say if they knew the great King of Thieves befriended a lowly noble? Sure, many knew the young duke, but none realized who he was. To the Rogue, Geofry was known as Jeff, a lowly stable boy.

[glow=red,2,300](Training Master)[/glow]
Yaren of Disart sat behind his desk and glanced through the various papers on his desk. That was the one problem with this job, the amount to paperwork required. Finding the one he wanted he skimmed through it. Finished he leaned back in his chair and thought over the content of the letter. It seemed that the Lord and Lady of Mindelan were allowing their youngest daughter to enter page training. Now he had nothing against female pages it was just that the last time he'd seen this particular girl, albeit from a distance, she'd seemed like such a delicate little thing and he worried that she wasn't suited for this training. Pushing his concerns aside he waited patiently for their arrival while listening to the noise generated by the returing pages.

Aren was also scanning the crowd and spotted Loralin not far ahead of him. Taking a good look at her he quickly marked her as a soon to be page, as he could think of no other reason a girl her age would be brought to Corus. Chuckling to himself, whoever's going to have the training of that one's in for a handfull.
Continuing his scanning he spotted Geofry (who was much closer to him), who he noticed had some kind of exchange with someone in the crowd. Following the nobles gaze he also spotted Jak, now what do we have here? He'd just started to move away when suddenly his vision was skewed at an odd angle and once again he saw himself and the rest of the street from the air. The sudden shift in view point caused him to stumble briefly. As suddenly as it had come, it was gone again and he could see things normally. Man this is getting weird.

(Jak)
Jak noticed the near fall of the stranger, and reached out, through the crowd, to balance him. "Y' might wanna watch ou, kid," he said pleasantly enough.

[glow=red,2,300](Aren Fletcher)[/glow]
Aren was rather startled at suddenly being assisted by someone in the crowd. He glanced over to see who it was and thank them and noticed it was the guy that the noble had winked at. Straightening up and stepped slightly away from him and nodded politely, "Thanks. Don't know what came over me." Nodding once again and smiling, "I'll just be on my way now. Good day to you."

"I'll have to keep an eye on him," Jak said to himself, lightly lifting a random noblewoman's jeweled necklass with out a soul the wiser. Jak then returned to the crowd, blending in well.

[glow=red,2,300](Kalarina and man-at-arms)[/glow]
Kalarina reached the Palace complex and headed straight for the stables. Once there she dismounted and waved the groom aside with, "Thank you but I'll see to my horse myself." The groom nodded respectfully and left her to it. It didn't take her long to finish and then she picked up what bags she could carry and with her man-at-arms bringing the rest headed for her room to get settled in. She glanced at the name tags on the rooms as she went, noticing severy new names among the familar ones. The one thing she was really looking forward to was sponsoring one of the first years and she hoped she'd get the chance. Arriving at her room she unlocked it and went in. Her bags were soon in a neat pile on the floor. She turned to her escort with a bright smile, "Thank you for escorting me here. You can likely find lodging in the Guards hall or at an Inn if you wish to stay. I wouldn't want to keep you here longer than you wanted."
He grinned at her, "I'll just be taking my leave than mistress. Think I'll find an Inn for the night and head on back tomorrow."
Smiling, "Alright. Safe journey to you."
"Thanks and good luck with your training missy." With that he bowed respectfully and left, closing the door behind him.
Kalarina turned and looked at the pile of bags and rolling up her sleeves set about unpacking.

[glow=red,2,300](Loralin, parents, and Yaren)[/glow]
Loralin, mindful of her father's warning, managed with great effort to keep relatively still the rest of the way to the Palace. Arriving in front of the Training Master's office she waited while her parents knocked politely. Hearing a gruff, "Come in," she took a deep breath and followed her parents inside.
Yaren stood up from where he'd been seated behind his desk and shook hands with her father. Turning to face her he scowled, she was just as delicate as he'd remembered her.
Her father hastily introduced her, "Yaren, this is my youngest daughter Loralin. Loralin this is Yaren of Disart. He'll be your Training Master while you a page."
Lora curtised properly with, "A pleasure to meet you sir." She was making sure to be on her best possible behaviour lest either her parents or the Training Master get after her.
Yaren humphed and then waved them to be seated. Leaning forward and steepling his fingers he faced Loralin. "So you wish to be a page do you? Well I trust you understand the rules. Absolutely no fighting with the others. If there's a boy in your room the door remains open. Late work will be penalized." He ticked them off as he mentioned them.
Nodding vigorously, "I understand them completely sir. Father made sure I knew all the rules before he'd let me come and try. I'll work really really hard sir." Her hands were clasped tightly in her lap and her face practically glowed in her eagerness.
Nodding briskly, "Right. Then I'll turn you over to the Housekeeper and she'll get you set up with uniforms and see you to your room."
Lora stood and gave her parents a quick hug each and then was whisked out the door by the Housekeeper.

(Arianna and escort)
Arianna watched as the city sights went by. Her mare Brightheart was used to the noise of the city, having been here with Aria already a few times on shopping trips. Still it all seemed new on such an auspicious day as this so Aria was having trouble not gazing around like all the other new ones that were arriving.
Soon enough the reached the palace grounds and after turning over thier mounts to a stablehand Arianna and her escort were told where to wait for an audience with the Pages Training Master. So there they sat awaiting Aria's turn to be looked over.

[glow=red,2,300](Arianna, Yaren, and Loralin's parents)[/glow]
Yaren finished talking to Loralin's parents and they left his office smiling at Arianna on their way out. He then glanced at the list in his hand and glancing back up called her in, "Arianna of Olau."
