((Is anybody else playing a Ranger, cuz I am... ^^ Here goes...))
Nienna walked silently through the cave at Henneth Annun. There was no one else there at the moment, so she shook her head and exited. She did not like being stuck inside caves, not even at the Rangers' hideout. She walked over to where she had left her mare, Dae. Clicking her tongue, she leapt onto her back, her worn cloak swirling. She rode bareback, for she was an Elf. She had no need for a saddle. Her sword swung on her hip, and her bow and quiver bounced on her back as they cantered away.

{It's Ithillien, Curiol. Lots of Trees, hiding spaces, grass. Occasional old Gondorian roads and structures which have fallen into ruin. If you're in northern Ithillien, you could hang about in Henneth Annûn, which is cave above the hidden pool.}

A small white bird ruffled its wings as it sat perched in a tree, preening and cooing to itself. Its small beady eyes peered curiously from its avian face as the relative stillness was disturbed by soft hoofbeats. Not the tramping of an oliaphaunt, mind, but enough to distinguish someone's approach. Hopping to another branch, the little bird trilled and looked down to see an elf on horseback.

A couple of hours later Darius and Aracia arrived in Ithillien. They looked alittle wind beaten."We can stay in the cave tonight. Most of the people I know are out on buisness, you could say," Darius said.
Aracia gave no reply in return. She just looked ahead into the forest. Her eyes were filled with bitterness. She looked down at the sword and knife strapped onto one of Elihoir's old belts. The only thing they had saved from the fire was the weapons they carried and the cloaks they had and the clothes they wore now.
"Why did they do this to us?" she asked.
"I was hoping to find out here," he replied urging his horse onward. He was actually quite surprised she had spoken. She had been silent the whole trip. He missed the sister that used to be happy, talk and joyful. He remebered how she would talk to animals and bring all of them home. Back then he would pay anything to keep her quiet for a moment. And how eager she was to learn something. He also remebered how her smile used to light up the whole room. She rarely smiled anymore.

Dae slowed to an easy trot, while Nienna's eyes flitted over their surroundings, constantly alert. She looked up into the branches of a tree, her sharp ears having caught an unfamiliar birdsong. Her emerald eyes quickly detected a small white bird, and she frowned slightly. "What kind of bird is that?" she muttered to herself in her native Sindarin, which was the language she usually spoke in when she was alone with her horse. She urged Dae to stop, and raised herself higher on the mare's back.

Seeming pleased, the bird hopped a few branches closer. Chirruping, it took off in a short flight to land on the puzzled elf's shoulder. It ruffled its feathers, as if happy to be with someone.

Nienna was puzzled. Elves did have a way with most animals, but that didn't change the fact that the bird was like no bird she had seen before. Reaching up, she gently stroked the bird's ruffled feathers. "So who--or what--are you, little one?" she murmured, still in Sindarin.

A pleasant trill came from the bird's throat, sounding oddly like laughter. It hopped to the ground and was lost in an odd light that seemed to be coming from the bird itself. The light grew and grew to a fairly large size before fading and materializing into the shape of a young woman, dressed in white, standin barefoot before the elf and her horse. "My apologies for not introducing myself sooner," the maiden's airy voice was also in Sindarin. "It is always so nice to meet someone in the woods, sometimes I lose myself. My name is Angeline."

Several Easterlings trudged through the overwhelming foliage of Ithillien. They wore their full regimental armour, their purple cloth glistening with sweat accross the top of their breastplate. Their mail coifs under their helmets also glistened with liquid. They were tiring from several days on a journey. The group was made up of twenty men. The leader, a rough man with a plumage from his helmet, stood tall and proud at the head of the double-lined column. Their shields were straight as they marched and their spears pointed vertically. by their waist, sheathed, were sparkling sabres, traditional to the soldiers of Rhûn. "Halt" The leader cried, not loudly, but not quiet enough not to attract attention. He held his hand in the air and waited for the clincking of mail armour to stop before he held up a crude hand gesture to his soldiers. This form of silent communication was common among the scouting party. This sign, a circle made with both hands and the other fingers pointing out, meant to get into a porcupine formation, pointing outwards. Something was not right here. Through the forests there were whispers, owl cries, and the like. The detatchment had been warned of the Ithillien Ranger's strikes on the Haradrim several months previously, how they had communicated with owl calls. Briskly, the captain drew his saber with a clean swish and took up his position in the middle of the formation. There the soldiers waited for a few minutes, their keen ears listening...

Nienna stared. "My name is Nienna Celebrindal. Forgive me if this seems rude, but... What are you?" she said, still in Sindarin. Dae had shifted slightly when the bird transformed, but at a quiet word from her rider, the midnight-black mare quieted, her mobile ears flicking back and forth.

Darius smiled,"Would you like to have some fun?"
"What do you mean?" Aracia asked.
"Into the trees. follow me," he said.
She nodded and pulled herself into the trees.Following Darius's quiet movement through them.
"Wanna find out how soilders react in ranger counrty?" he asked.
She nodded pulling her bow out and firing and arrow missing the leader by centimeters.
