Narmi trotted up beside Wind-walker and smiled happily "Storm's letting us rest... come back?" she inquired and looked forward for a moment. Then her face lit up and she whispered something under her breath. Then she shouted it out and cantered away, in Strms direction "Storm... It's over there, see the dark spot on the horrizon, it's the drop in the canyon" she breathed deep and watched as Storm looked toward the direction she had pointed.

Wind-walker whinnied in pleasure as she too saw what Narmi had gestured to. She reared and galloped off ahead her mind not stopping to think that perhaps it was dangerous to leave the herd...

luka heard the howl before any one else did. a trick that her pack used was to put there snouts in the ground to muffle the sound. it was make the heard that they were tracking think they were ferther away. luka could tell that difference straight away she knew they were close, too close. "storm they're coming tell every one to stick together and don't what ever you do run in to the canyon they're down there waiting. i'll go get wind-walker".

Storm gave it to Luka, it was time to give her he chance to prove herself. He reared up and gave way to the herd to gallop. Though he was not going to do everything as Luka had told him. He set his feet off a a gallop and set after Wind-Walker. The herd was not far behind him because he could hear the there hoofs on the orange dirt. "Wind-Walker... come back" he ordered, if he made her more scared than she had to be is was just what he was having to do... he would not lose any member of his herd to those mongrels.

Wind-Walker turned and reared when she heard Storm approach. Moments later a group of about six wolves blocked off her path. Three between her and Storm and the other three between her and the canyon. They bared their long fangs dripping with saliva. Wind-Walker reared whinnying terrifiedly.
