Almost as if summoned by Elizabeth's comment, the Black Pearl sailed silently into Port Royal's harbor. Captain Sparrow lowered his voice a bit, now that they weren't in the middle of the storm. "Weigh anchor! And stay on the ship," he ordered his crew.

William Turner was rubbing down the shop's mule in its stable, when a peal of thunder upset it and the smith had to spend the next minute or so calming it. His strong rough hands moved gently over the beast's long muzzle as he quieted it's nervous braying, whispering hushed comfort. Such a storm! He noticed rain was soaking the edge of the hay-filled space as he made sure the animal was settled, so he quickly finished. He held his apron above his head as he prepared to run back to the forge. The raindrops splattered hard against the toughened leather, though it kept him little dry as he stepped outside to close and lock the stable door. He could see the open forge door waiting, open and warm, a glowing blur beyond thedark curtain of rain. He hurried, boots splattering in muddy puddles on his race back.

She crawled out of the covers and looked out onto the sea.She for one wasn't looking forward to seeing the bloody pirates again.

He burst into the forge and shut the door just as another peal of thunder quaked through him. He hung the wet apron on its peg and brushed the mud off his boots before moving toward the burning coals to rest warm and dry for a moment. He sighed as warmth spread through his soaked skin. This storm was certainly stronger than expected. He vaguely wondered what the sea would be like tonight. He looked at his rain-wrinkled hands, calloused and brown, tough like leather, hardened by heat and metal. Not by wind and water, as his father's probably were, seasoned with salt and rope. He was a blacksmith. He stood to look out the shop's small window. As much as he enjoyed his short-lived adventures as a true-blooded pirate, he had inevitably returned to this job. How else was he supposed to make a living to support himself and his bride-to-be? His seafaring days seemed over, though Elizabeth knew the waves still stirred something deep within his heart.

"Sarah cover for me.I'll be back in a moment" Elzabeth said climbing off the bed. She instantly darted for her cloak. She would only hopefully be a moment this time.

"Oh, but Miss Elizabeth!" the maid protested, though not loudly to attract outside ears. "You'll get soaked to the bone..." Sarah sighed. "I'll do my best, my lady."

"Thank you.If I ever had a sister I wish you were her." Elizabeth said. She snuck down stairs carrying her shoes. She thought she reconised this night. She threw her cloak hood up,put her shoes on, and ran out the door.

She took off down the road of her home and towards town. She had to tell Will. There was this feeling that something was coming that she couldn't shake off.She quickly raced down the street. The rain drowned out the sound of her running. She let herself in.

Will almost didn't hear the door open over the clamor of the storm. It took him a second to recognize the sopping figure as Elizabeth, whereupon he rushed to envelop her in a quick embrace. "Elizabeth!" Then he examined her at armslength grinning curiously. "What are you doing here? Your all wet..." He ignored the fact that he was now wet again as well. "Let's get you warm." He motioned toward the heated place he had just left, and taking her dripping cloak. He noticed what she was wearing and grew concerned. "What is going on?"

"Do you recall this same storm happening last time the Pearl came?" she said."It never rains this heavy unless Jack comes."

The blacksmith laughed, a strong rich sound. "That's what brought you out here?" He put an arm around her shoulders. "I haven't heard from Jack in quite a while. As strange as he can be, still I doubt the weather recognizes him." He laughed again and the thunder echoed. "But, who could forget him!"

Will walked to the window to look at the moon. It's round face was oddly visible, as if the clouds had parted around it. "Maybe it is the Pearl..." he conferred softly.
