Kai chuckled softly. He threw his arm up into the air once more, and Eyrie flew off his shoulder. Kai walked around the back off the shop, stopping at the edge of the allyway. Eyrie flew over the bounty hunter, before diving head first at him.

The bounty hunter, who had been searching the area for traces of Bakura, jumped in surprise, throwing his arms over his head and cursing loudly.

Kai jumped out from the allyway, and as the bounty hunter's vision was blurred by Eyrie, he cast a dome of shadows over the man, making it look like he had been blinded. Eyrie tapped the man above the eyes.

"Gah, my eyes!" the man exclaimed, completely over-reacting. Bakura, who had limped over to watch, grinned at the show.

Eyrie cawed, showing the man he could hear, and making it seem as the man was blind, and that nothing was just keeping him from seeing. Kai stared in surprise, "Well that's a better reaction then I'd hoped for..." He muttered.

"He's not very bright," Bakura muttered as the man shrieked and cried.

"No. Not at all." Kai said, now leaning against the wall beside Bakura and watching the show. Eyrie cawed again. "Let me know when I should let him go..." Kai told Bakura in an emotionless tone.

Bakura watched the man for a few more minutes before shrugging. "Do what you want," he told Kai.

Kai shrugged, and looked up into the sky. "Hmm... few more minutes 'ought to keep me entertained." He shrugged.

Suddenly, they charged. Seven wolves, from seven directions.
And, just as quickly, Kratos reacted. He sprang forward, and quickly sliced into the shoulder of the one ahead of him, crippling it. As it sank to the snowy ground, he turned his attention to another, leaping toward it. His sword came down on its back, paralyzing it.
By this time, the others had figured out that Kratos was the real threat...and had begun to converge on him.
He whirled around to face the others, but was a bit too slow. One leapt on him, too quickly for him to react. It sank its teeth into his shoulder, growling, and clawing at his chest.
"Agh!" He inhaled sharply through gritted teeth, hissing. He threw the wolf off him, ramming his sword down its throat. Two more follwed it, leaping at him, but he was ready. The pain only served to heighten his awareness, and he struck the two down.
Three left...Kratos only saw two, though...Where...?...Tristan! Kratos's attention snapped to his employer , and he saw a wolf, lying on the ground near the man, the hilt of his dagger protruding from its skull. He was staring at it, and the blood on his hands.
Not once had Tristan fought during their journey, much less killed a creature...
Good...two left...Drawing his attention back to the remaining wolves, Kratos ran toward them, his sword flashing. Swiftly, he ended the lives of both wolves before they could strike back.

Bakura smirked. He looked down at his leg thoughtfully. "You said something about a partnership," he said quietly. "How about this; I'll team up with you for a theft if you help me stay alive until this wound is healed?"

Kai raised an eyebrow, "Sounds entertaining." He commented. "Sure."

"K-Kratos..." Tristan had not looked up from the blood on his hands. "Wh-what have I..." Finally glancing at the mercenary, Tristan's eyes widened in shock. "Kratos!!"
Kratos was kneeling in the snow, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He clutched his shoulder, as steaming blood seeped from it, dripping onto and melting the snow around him, staining it crimson. A weak bluish glow was eminating from his fingers, but it was barely doing anything. Kratos was trying to heal himself, but he had hardly enough magicka (the name of the energy he uses as magic) to do anything. The FireIce stone had been leeching too much magicka from him during the journey, and he had none left...
Gritting his teeth against the pain, and frustration of being unable to do anything about it, Kratos removed his glove, and, drawing a deep breath, pulled off his FireIce stone.

Bakura grinned. "It's a deal then. Shake?" He held a hand out to Kai.

Eyeing Bakura suspiciously, Kai slowly reached his hand out to the man, and griped his hand.
