Ariel was suprised when the boy seized her hand, but also slightly pleased in a way. Ebet made no comment but simply followed from above, having abandoned his wolfshape to adopt the form of a swallow. Ariel allowed Edwin to lead her on, pleasantly excited about the whole little venture. Her hand tightened slightly in his as they approached come crowds. She did not want to get separated.

They hit the crowds at a relativly quick pace. Naia had shifted into a small white mouse and was nestled in Edwin's hair. As they weaved through the croud, he felt Ariel still holding onto his hand. After several minutes of hustling and bustling through the crowds, they shot out into daylight and a wide open field where alot of people were browsing stalls with different riding merchendise, as well as beautiful mares and stallions.

"Beautiful," Ariel whispered to herself, glimpsing the equines from a distance. She felt very small, among the horses as well as the people. They obviously had money to purchase one or more of the grand creatures. Ebet swooped down to perch on her shoulder, taking it all in as she did.

"I wonder if there's a war on." Naia whispered to Edwin. "The Townies said they were once again going to siege the Gyptians in the Claybeds." Edwin chuckled. "They'd be numerous if they want to do that. The Claybeds are evil"
